Meet the Funder & Networking Lunch

Date: Thursday 21 November, 2019  –  10.00am-1.30pm

Bring your aspirations to this masterclass and gather tips and tricks on how, where and when to seek funding.

Youth Governance and Youth Development

Date: Monday 10 February, 2020  –  2.00pm-4.30pm

Join Tina Ramdeen, Head of Youth Policy and Engagement at the Roundhouse, and a member of the Roundhouse Youth Advisory Board to hear first-hand how they incorporate young people into their organsation and how young people can be involved in your work.

Low Fi and Low Cost Live Streaming and Sharing –  Please note that this course is now fully booked and there are  no more places available

Date: Friday 3 April, 2020  –  2.00pm-4.30pm

Live streaming an event or performance might feel unattainable, but there are low-cost and low-tech options for everyone. Jason Crouch, a freelance digital consultant with expertise in live streaming and a PhD in contemporary arts and technology, shares his tips on how to get started with streaming and sharing your practice online.

Playing with Words – An immersive storytelling session and relaxed networking event (children welcome)

Date: Tuesday 12 May, 2020  –  10.00am-12.30pm

Popular storyteller and musician Sal Tonge will lead a playful session of talk, song and story underpinned by traditional repertoire. The session will be a chance to explore the role of pattern, prosody and story in any arts practice. Investigate music making beyond the maraca!

If you have little ones, please bring them with you to enjoy Sal’s session and join our relaxed coffee morning. Keep up to date with WAP and share ideas, challenges and opportunities with other creative practitioners and organisations.

‘Tell me what you want’ – Bromsgrove’s Experience of Breaking Down Barriers to Cultural Engagement

Date: Thursday 23 January, 2020  – 10.00am-12.30pm, followed by free lunch

Ever wondered why people don’t engage in culture? And what they really want? Come along to hear all about Bromsgrove’s experience through an Arts Council funded project of creatively identifying and addressing barriers to cultural participation, and learn some tips yourself for carrying this out elsewhere. Members of the Bromsgrove Arts and Cultural Consortium and Beatfreeks will tell all. Lunch is provided for free too!
