Summer term 2020

Whilst schools are closed we are offering individual online digital music lessons to Severn Arts instrumental and vocal pupils. Find out more and apply here.

Lessons in School

Lessons during school time are organised and invoiced by your child’s school. Each school decides which instruments they would like to take lessons in, subject to pupil demand. Severn Arts charges schools at a standard hourly rate and schools set their own charging policies. Please contact your school office or Music Co-ordinator to find out which instruments they take and how much they charge for lessons.

You should also ensure that your child has an instrument before they commence lessons. These can be hired from Severn Arts. Please allow two weeks for delivery.

Lessons at Music Centres

We also offer opportunities to take lessons outside of the school day at our four Music Centres:

St John’s CE Middle School Academy
St Catherine’s Primary School, Kidderminster
The Grove Primary School
Woodgreen Evangelical Church, Warndon and Severn Arts offices

To apply for Music Centre lessons please complete the application form and submit to our offices. If you have any other queries please email [email protected] and your request will be forwarded to the relevant co-ordinator.

Yamaha Play for Keeps keyboard course

Interested in learning to play the keyboard? Elliot, our Yamaha trained keyboard teacher will take you from learning scales on your own to performing whole pieces in a group. It’s a fun and engaging course focusing on practical hands on learning and allows the reading and writing of music to develop at a natural pace alongside.

The lessons are held in the teaching room at Severn Arts, Suite 11 Malvern Gate, Bromwich Road, St John’s, Worcester, WR2 2BN.  They are open to anyone aged 8 – 18 and all equipment is provided.
