Volunteer with The Arches Worcester Festivals team!

Volunteers make festivals – they are an integral part of ensuring events run smoothly and that audiences, artists and stakeholders have a fantastic experience!

What is The Arches Worcester?

The Arches Worcester project is funded by The Cultural Development Fund – a DCMS / Arts Council England fund which is focused on developing the economic impact of creative industries, arts and heritage. The project has four main objectives including the creation of brand new festivals for the city.

Why Volunteer?

There are many reasons to volunteer with the Festivals team, it could be because

  • you want to meet like minded people and enjoy the social aspect
  • you want to be an integral part of something exciting for Worcester
  • you are passionate about your city and want to be an ambassador for Worcester
  • you are interested in learning about how arts and cultural events come together
  • or simply because you enjoy trying something new!

Who are we looking for?

We need proactive team players who are approachable and enthusiastic. We love when volunteers are eager to get stuck in with every element – whether that’s talking to audiences about what’s on or helping artists set up on the festival sites. No experience is necessary, we just ask that you are over 18 and have a passion for helping us stage unforgettable events!

What would I be doing?

Every day is different – it’s why we love festivals so much. Tasks might include helping our marketing teams with evaluations and feedback collection, dressing the festival site, meeting and greeting artists, helping guide audiences at events and manning info points. Every task – whether it be big or small – is an important part of making festivals.
